"Ocean Odyssey," a film that has been seen in various stages of development at Palm Springs International Film Society events, will debut Friday at the Newport Beach Film Festival.
Palm Springs resident Paul Gilman, who has served as music director for the Palm Springs International Film Festival, created the film based on his attempts to communicate with dolphins, humpback whales and orcas throughout the world.
The film will screen at 2:30 p.m. at the Lido Theatre in Newport and have a second screening at 11 a.m. April 27 at the Orange County Museum of Art.
