BeingThere is a new technology invented by Paul Gilman at his sound laboratory in Palm Springs, California. Paul has vast experience in composing and creating sound. He was a consultant and music test site for Apple Computers, Kurzweil Music Systems, Bob Moog, and Opcode. Paul was also key to the development of midi, musical instrument digital interface. Paul performed the first solo keyboard concert at Boston Symphony Hall.

While filming Orcas in recent years Paul was so moved by the experience of being only inches away from such majestic creatures in the wild, that he wanted to be able to share his personal experience with the public. The video was great but the sound was not real enough to convey his experience. With that as his motivator, Paul invented a patented solution that allowed him to transmit sounds from the audio track which have a true-to-life spacial relationship in precise distance, volume and pin point accurate direction from the emitting source.
