The Palm Springs International Film Festival's Musical Director is Emmy Award Winning Composer, Producer and Performer, Paul Gilman.

Paul scores films, tv shows, commercials, and produces Grammy award winning artists like the Temptations, John Phillips and most recently, Paul McCartney in his full post production studio located in Downtown Palm Springs.

Paul is currently in post production on a passionate project, "Ocean Odyssey," combining High Definition video of whales, dolphins and orcas with original compositions revealing their musical dialogue.

Paul composes music, produces, performs & conducts at the Festival's star studded Gala Event. He also composes & performs music for the festival's movie trailers, promos and tv commercials.

Paul and the orchestra performed Paul's original composition, "Silk, Lace and Diamonds" as a tribute to Tiffany's during the 2004 Gala Event.

Paul honored Quincy Jones and Michel Legrand by performing original compositions on piano with a 30 piece orchestra accompaniment during the 2003 Gala Event.

The 2002 Gala was especially unique as Paul performed Ocean Odyssey, a musical visual adventure depicting music as a universal language thru underwater communication with whales and dolphins - all stunningly captured in High Defintion.

The 2005 Gala Event is the place to be to experience the moving performance Paul has composed and choreographed for the Festival's honorees and guests.
